Stoneledger was built on a simple idea: every business deserves financials that make sense.
Founder, Stoneledger Advisory Group
I spent over 20 years in finance — not in a back office running reports, but embedded in operations, working alongside the people building and running businesses. My career spans service, manufacturing, distribution, and food & beverage industries, including PE-backed companies where the reporting standards were high and the margin for error was thin.
That experience taught me something: most small and mid-sized businesses don't have a finance problem — they have a clarity problem. The data exists, but it's messy, late, or formatted in a way that doesn't help anyone make decisions. Owners end up guessing when they should be planning.
I started Stoneledger Advisory Group in Brookings to fix that. I bring the same discipline I applied to multi-entity, board-reported operations to local businesses that need their books to actually work for them. Whether that's clean monthly bookkeeping, financial reporting a lender will trust, or strategic advisory that helps you grow — the goal is always the same: make your financials make sense so you can focus on your business.
Stone represents permanence — a foundation you can build on. Ledger represents precision — the discipline of getting the numbers right. Stoneledger Advisory Group exists to give businesses both: a financial foundation that's solid and reporting that's precise.
